All of Your Burning Questions

A Photobooth on a Bike? What? Why? How?

For my wedding, I constructed my first photobooth for our guests to enjoy. One night, my best man and I were chatting about the photobooth and how I had to make it portable and lightweight to transport to the wedding venue. Both of us being DIYers and builders, the conversation eventually turned into the idea of building it on a bike trailer and taking it to events. I have always been a fan of bike powered businesses, and this idea of a bicycle photobooth wouldn't get out of my head. However, the trailer wasn't doing it for me. Then one day I saw a 5 Speed adult tricycle for sale and thus PhotoTrike was born!

TL;DR In a drunken conversation at my wedding, this wacky idea was born. And I like bikes.

Who are you?

I'm just a guy that likes to build things. And I like bikes. And I like when people have a good time. PhotoTrike is half art-project, half "part-time job". For real work, I run an arts program for area youth.

How long does it take to set up?

Depending on the complexity of what you want, it usually takes us no more than 45 minutes to be set up and ready to go. Set up time is included and does not count towards your total package time.

Do you have props and backdrops?

Yes! We bring over 50 high quality felt props. You can choose the ones you want available for your guests. If you have additional props you'd like us to use, we're happy to accomodate.

For backdrops, we have an array of sparkly colored backgrounds, and we can even do green screen. If you want to provide your own or have a special request, just contact us.

How many people fit in the booth?

We've had as many as 10 people! But we find that 5 is the most before it gets too uncomfortable or people start getting cropped out.

Why are you so much cheaper than other photobooths?

We like to keep things simple. Our footprint is smaller so things like large backdrops, lots of lighting equipment, and tables full of props and costumes are not needed. Plus we don't need to pay for gas to get to your event (usually).

Don't get us wrong, we love photo booth companies that go all out with their setups (our fridge is full of pics from photobooths!) But we think the memories are just as great with our unique setup. And the photos turn out just as great!
